Zonal finals at Goa. 10th & 11th November, 2008.


	The Finalists - Fr. Agnel’s High School, Verna & Don Bosco School, Panjim, fight it out for top honours. Our Chief Guest for the day, Mr. Henry Britto, Ex National Player and Gen Secy of Salgaoncar Sports Club for over 30 years.		Goa Champions of the Tata Tea Jaago Re Soccer Stars ‘09 - Don Bosco School, Panjim.


	The Runners – Up - Fr. Agnel’s High School, Verna.		The Chosen Three - Shilton Fernandes, Agnel Fernandes & Carlton Rodrigues.


		Goa saw its edition of Tata Tea Jaago Re Soccer Stars on December 10 and 11 at Don Bosco school, Panjim.

		The two day tournament had more than 50 teams fighting to win the zonal finals, that will take them to the national finals to be held in Kolkata mid next year.

		Don Bosco School came out as the winners defeating Fr.Agnel Verna School by 1-0.

		Don Bosco School directly qualifies to the finals of Tata Tea Jaago Re Soccer Stars which will have teams from all the ten cities fighting for the coveted trophy.

Highest Goalscorer - Chikudi Chukwuma of Don Bosco, Panjim.

Some of the players who came to lime light during these two days were

		Vicky D’Souza from St. Frances Xaviers was recognized as Goa’s most valuable player.

		Shilton Fernandes of Auxillium Convent, Benaulim was declared the best goalkeeper.

		Chikudi Chukwama from Don Bosco School came out as the highest goal scorer during the zonal matches.

Most Valuable Player - Vicky D’Souza of St. Francis Xavier School, Macasana.

Like last year, this year too Goa showcased exceptional talent.


		Jamshid Nassiri, Head Scout and Ramanand Shankwalker, Regional Scout observed the tournament for the most promising kid showing exceptional talent in the game.
