Zonal finals at New Delhi. 17th & 18th January, 2009.

  The zonal finals of Tata Tea Jaago Re Soccer Stars was held in Delhi on January 17 and 18 at St. Columba's School
     
  More than 64 teams participated in the two day tournament fighting to win the zonal finals.
     
  The Air Force School, Subroto Park emerged as winners defeating St. Columbia by 5 goals. This will take them to the national finals to be held in Kolkata mid this year

Some of the players who came to lime light during these two days were
     
  Michael S. Chong from St. Columbus was recognized as Delhi's most valuable player.
     
  Rakshit Bhalla of DPS, Vasant Kunj was declared the best goalkeeper.
     
  Daniel from The Air Force School came out as the highest goal scorer during the zonal matches.

  Daniel and P. C. Lalhrialhuia from The Air Force School, Michael S. Chong from St. Columbus, Kisloy Singh from DPS, Vasant Kunj, and Avyay Gujral from Shri Ram School were selected for coaching by Arsenal coaches at Kolkata from Delhi.
     
  Jamshid Nassiri, Head Scout, observed the tournament for the most promising kid showing exceptional talent in the game
