2009 Tournament Format |
| The Jaago
Re Soccer Stars is based on a
7-a-side concept. Each squad
consists of 10 players out of which
7 are present on the field while the
other 3 are rolling substitutes. The
duration of the match is 7 minutes
per half with an immediate
changeover at half time. This has
been done to give more schools a
chance to participate in the
tournament. The rules are similar to
a 11 a-side match with some
exceptions. The matches are played
on a 50m by 27m field and the goal
posts are 14 feet by 7 feet. The
tournament at each venue is
conducted on a league cum knockout
basis. If matches during the
knockout stage end in a tie there
will be penalty shootout of 3 kicks
per team followed by a sudden death
to decide the winner. |
