During the regional rounds 5 lucky winners from each venue will be drawn from amongst all the quiz cards submitted in by the school students.
After collecting 5 winners from 10 cities, there will be an All-India lucky draw. From amongst the 50 regional, 2 LUCKY winners will avail the graand prize of an all expenses paid trip to London to watch Arsenal play in the Emirates Cup.

Using the tournament as a platform for scouting talent, former soccer greats like Mr. Jamshid Nassiri (Ex Md. Sporting, East Bengal Player and Ex - National Coach, Maharashtra), Mr. Brahmanand Shankwalkar (Arjuna Awardee, Ex India Captain & Goalkeeper, Ex Salgaoncar) and Mr. Premnath Phillips (Ex India Defender, Ex East Bengal and Ex Md. Sporting player) will be scouting for talent in all cities. 30 boys are selected to be coached by the Arsenal Coaches in India.

The coaches from Arsenal will in turn choose the best 16, who will get a ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity to travel to England, visit the Emirates Stadium and participate in the Arsenal International Soccer Festival!

2009 Tournament Format
The Jaago Re Soccer Stars is based on a 7-a-side concept. Each squad consists of 10 players out of which 7 are present on the field while the other 3 are rolling substitutes. The duration of the match is 7 minutes per half with an immediate changeover at half time. This has been done to give more schools a chance to participate in the tournament. The rules are similar to a 11 a-side match with some exceptions. The matches are played on a 50m by 27m field and the goal posts are 14 feet by 7 feet. The tournament at each venue is conducted on a league cum knockout basis. If matches during the knockout stage end in a tie there will be penalty shootout of 3 kicks per team followed by a sudden death to decide the winner.
